We, the people of the republic of Texas, acknowledging with gratitude the grace and beneficence of God, in permitting us to make a choice of our form of government, do, in accordance with the provisions of the joint resolution for annexing Texas to the United States, approved March first, one thousand eight hundred and forty-five, ordain and establish this constitution. (1845 Constitution)

BRIEF HISTORY
 
The history of the state of Texas begins in 1519, when the first European explorers found the region was populated by various Native American tribes. During the period of 1519 to 1848, all or parts of Texas were claimed by six countries: Spain, France, Mexico, the Republic of Texas, the United States of America-as well as the Confederate States of America in 1861-65.
 
The first European base was established until 1682, when René-Robert Cavelier, Sieur de La Salle established a French colony, Fort Saint Louis, near Matagorda Bay. The colony was killed off after three years, but its presence motivated Spanish authorities to begin activity. Several missions were established in East Texas; they were abandoned in 1691. Twenty years later, concerned with the French presence in neighboring Louisiana, Spanish authorities again attempted to colonize Texas.
 
Over the next 110 years, Spain established numerous villages, presidios, and missions in the province. A small number of Spanish settlers arrived, in addition to missionaries and soldiers. Spain signed agreements with colonizers from the United States. When Mexico won its independence from Spain in 1821, Mexican Texas was part of the new nation. To encourage settlement, Mexican authorities allowed organized immigration from the United States, and by 1834, over 30,000 Anglos lived in Texas, compared to only 7,800 Mexicans.
 
Angry at the government in Mexico City, Texans fought and won the Texas Revolution in 1835-36. Texas now became an independent nation, the Republic of Texas. Native American Nations including Comanche, Apache, Arapaho, Cheyenne, Kiowa, Karankawa, Eastern Pueblo, Wichita and Caddo also inhabited the land.  It became public policy when Mirabeau Lamar was president of the Republic to remove all Native American presence from Texas. The Red River or Buffalo wars ensued and by 1875 they were all forcibly removed to Oklahoma territory.
 
Attracted by the rich cotton lands and ranch lands, tens of thousands of immigrants arrived from the U.S. (bringing slaves) and from Germany as well. In 1845, Texas joined the United States, becoming the 28th state. Determined to protect slavery, Texas declared its secession from the United States in 1861 to join the Confederate States of America. Only a few battles of the American Civil War were fought in Texas; most Texas regiments served in the east. When the war ended the slaves were freed and Texas was subject to Reconstruction, a process that left a residue of bitterness among whites and a second- class status for blacks in a Jim Crow system of segregation.
 
Cotton and ranching dominated the economy, with railroad construction after 1870 a major factor in the formation of new cities. Toward the end of the 19th century timber became an important industry in Texas as well. In 1901 a petroleum discovery at Spindletop Hill, near Beaumont, created the most productive oil well the world had ever seen. The wave of oil speculation and discovery that followed came to be known as the "Oil Boom", permanently transforming and enriching the economy of Texas. Agriculture and ranching gave way to a service-oriented society after the boom years of World War II.
 
Segregation ended in the 1960s, and instead of a one-party Democratic state, Texas was first highly competitive and (after 2000), solidly Republican. Texas has continued to grow rapidly, becoming the second largest state in population in 1994, and became economically highly diversified, with a growing base in high technology. 1.  We have recently had Chuck Pierce, Dutch Sheets, Shawn Bolz, Rob Hotchkins, and many others come to Houston, Texas and give powerful words of the coming outpouring over this state! At this recent conference we were told that we would battle this religious spirit, God would not let us fail, and the Lord would use us to overcome! The Lord is looking for those in Texas that will not give up and will continue to move forward in the power of the Holy Ghost!  (Luke Holter -2009)

The prince that has ruled the atmosphere along the border between the US and Mexico will be dethroned because of the uniting of the hosts of Heaven and the armies of the earth! Because of what is beginning today, and what will be occurring in the next 24 months, satan's rule on this border will now be addressed, begin to shake and eventually fall!" Impregnate this state with revelation so that their words don't fall to the ground.  Impregnate them with a power that no matter what the hoards of hell say, that something changes in the Spirit.  The decrees of man, the unrighteous spirit, the decrees of ungodly judges begin to pale and fall before You. Let the idols of man fall and be broken next to the Ark of Your Presence, Lord. Lord, I say according to Your word, a nation could be born from this state. I say there is a governmental anointing on the State of Texas - on the church of Texas - to rise up in her position in heavenly places and begin to legislate and begin to affect, to release the government of God that changes the government of man." He said 'This has more to do with Texas than you know.' He says, 'Things that are going to happen in Texas and things that you have done that to you may appear to be small things, but the Lord said, "I have seen it.  I have used you like a cookie cutter to cut this state out for such a time as this.'" Texas needs to receive this anointing as Esther to be used as a Deliverer, and the purpose is to hang Haman on his own scaffold. And the spirit you are battling in the states is a Haman spirit. It is a spirit that wants to annihilate and kill the Judeo-Christian root. The Lord says, 'I have anointed Texas with its wealth and its influence that it would rise up at a time as this, and it would go to the king.' You are to pray that the leadership in Texas would speak words of warning to the senate and the congress and the President of the United States without fear because the Lord says, 'I've already cut you out anyway.'  He says you have already been separated." 11.    When Anne Tate was watching the news yesterday and saw the Rio Grande River rising, she called me and reminded me that this was prophesied earlier this year. On February 28, 2010, the Lord began to speak during our morning service at Glory of Zion. I saw flooding. I then saw rivers rising! I began to prophesy: "Dallas, St. Louis, Houston-- prepare yourself, for there are floods rising in your midst.  My glory is rising.  Do not reject what I am bringing you this hour.  Cairo, Illinois, get ready for I will fall upon you.  I will begin to come into you in a new way. For a river represents life. The sperm of My force is in a river. When you see a river rise, you see Me penetrating a region with My life to come. Do not resist the rising river! Move out of its way, for the River is Me changing the course of life where death is operating "My rivers are rising and when you see the Snake River flood its banks, you will say, 'The serpent has been defeated in this land!' This will be a sign of Me rising in Mormon country...."To the Rio Grande, rise and flood away the evil that stays along that border. For evil will rise for a season along the border, but when the Rio Grande rises, you will know that I am setting a new course in the evil."Austin, prepare yourself for I am going to flood in through that capital and create a new model.  Colorado River, rise up and touch the earth.  Red River, rise up and touch the earth.  Missouri River, rise up and touch the earth. 12.    A second tropical depression hit the "identical region" as did Hurricane Alex on the Texas/Mexico border.  Even the news last night "reported" that the flooding Rio Grande has ceased all movement across that part of the border. The Lord has been revealing to me that Texas is the fulcrum point for "border issues" which include the oil spill to the east and the border/immigration issue to the west. DECLARATIONS OVER TEXAS

1.       We decree no more broken covenants: in Government, in Business, in Education, in the Church of Texas, in the family, in arts and entertainment and the media. We decree our commitment to "covenant making."

2.       We decree that there will be no more bloodshed of innocent babies in the womb! We decree that we are committed to protecting and warring for every unborn baby in Texas/USA.

3.       We decree that we will no longer dishonor of our neighboring states or nations! We will extend honor in all situations with our neighboring states and nations; establishing words of kindness, statements of blessings and establish a mindset to nurture honor beyond our own generation.

4.       We declare an alignment of heaven and earth and the armies of both to move together under King Jesus!

5.       We declare a heavenly perspective in warfare in the Church of Jesus Christ.

6.       We bless the prophetic portal over all of Texas and call it HOLY!

7.       We bless the angels as they honor God by standing in the breaches waiting for the Church to join them in warfare.

8.       We welcome and bless God's redefining of the Church; His Freedom Outposts! They will be places of freedom and the Glory of God.

9.       We declare we are rooted in covenant with God's heart for the Jewish people and we recognize Israel's role in the earth; a role of blessing.

10.    We declare the honor of God over all First Nations/Peoples and commit ourselves to their success in the Kingdom of God.

11.    We declare that Texas will be an altar of worship, established for our God.

12.    We declare that Texas is God's state and His Holy Spirit is free to move about as He desires!

13.    We honor God's structure of government, the government on the shoulders of Jesus the King; the apostolic government.

14.    We welcome God's Glory to move about Texas with freedom. We declare a "cry" of Glory in the heart of the Church of Texas.

15.    We declare that Texas will be a "fire-brand" for this nation! You will put the brand of God on the nation! We declare the "Star of God"-the Glory Star shines over Texas.  We will follow the Star of God.

16.    We declare a tearing down of all warring Baal structures in Jesus' name.

17.    We declare a shifting of the foundation of the Land toward God's purposes in His Kingdom.

18.    Father God, we come before Your throne thankful that we have a blood covenant relationship with Jesus Christ.  You have taught us that this covenant not only gives us access to Your Throne and cleanses us from sin but gives us specific legal rights.  Your Word informs us we have a legal right to be free from curses, as individuals and as a city.  You have instructed us to be free from the enemy's control.  Your heart's desire is that we possess our God-given birthright.  We also know that You give a good harvest where we have sewn good seed.  Knowing this, we come in humility and brokenness to repent, confessing our sin, asking Your forgiveness and trusting that You will set us free and enable us to fulfill our destiny.

19.    We ask Father, for You to do a supernatural work within us, and in the culture around us, to position us to possess our birthright.  We proclaim there is nothing too hard for You.  There is no area of brokenness that You cannot redeem.  We decree that the blood of Christ is sufficient to break the power of every curse. Because of our renunciation, we can receive the cleansing that You have promised in Your Word.  Therefore, we send every curse to the cross of Jesus Christ.  We nail them there, covered with the blood of Christ, and we ask You to render them null and void. We ask that You bring that cleaning forward in every branch of our family line and every generation of our city, from generation to generation, to the present; to our spouse, to our children, to every institution in the city, to ALL of our physical and spiritual seed, to 1000 generations.

20.    And now that the legal right of Powers and Principalities has been removed through our confession of sin, and the blood of Christ has been applied, we declare, in the Name of Jesus of Nazareth, that every devouring entity which has been empowered by any facet of any curse, must now let go of the physical and spiritual seed of our city, and it's institutions. 

21.    We ask You Most High God, to build a fortress of righteousness in every place where there use to be a stronghold of darkness.  We ask You to sever every tie to every unclean thing, in the past or the present, which would hold us back from experiencing Your best.  We desire to possess our birthright and successfully fulfill the plans You have for us and the surrounding region.  

22.    We ask You Lord Jesus, to enforce every righteous decree.  You are our King; we claim protection, not because we deserve it, but because You love us.  We proclaim and celebrate Your Father, we ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

THE TEXAS BORDER 

Border and Immigration are at the top of the list.  In January a historic prayer journey of over 2000 miles was made with representatives from California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and Mexico. We travelled the entire border between the U.S. and Mexico. Our hearts were singular in focus as we dealt with the issues that faced us at every point along the journey.  We were and are sealing in the Spirit the treaty that was made between these two great nations. The Lord, prior to the trip, had made it explicitly clear to me that there were two distinct declarations that needed to be made along the border. The first was from Isaiah 28:14-22.  It speaks of the undoing of the covenant with death and pact with hell - replacing it with Jesus the cornerstone - life, healing, hope and kingdom authority.  The second declaration was based on Ezekiel 11, which reverses the curse of the city (border) being the pot and the people the flesh.  God is tearing down the corruption at the gates and no less than 25 evil leaders from both nations will be discovered, brought down or destroyed by the time of Passover 2010.  At least a dozen were already dismantled during our trip. In Nehemiah 3, the first order of business was not the building of the walls but the re-establishment of the gates. Our purpose on this trip was to establish the gates (key prayer towers/cities) and then to witness the building of the covenant walls of God's kingdom between those towers.  God is establishing covenant relationships along the border to replace a human constructed wall. The celebrations were abundant as we arrived at our goal - Boca Chica.  Even though the last miles of walking on the beach were arduous, the goal was reached.  We arrived with great awe at the mouth of the Rio Grande. During the last few hours of the trip I was being told of the status of my second grandson's birth. The Lord prompted us that the baby would be born when we arrived at journey's end as a sign that God was fulfilling His promise of peace along the border. At the very moment I arrived at the mouth of the river, the cell phone peeped and a message announced Jesse Nathaniel Schlueter's birth. I believe it was significant that the birth was by C-section as God had to reach in and bring forth this birth. Only God can cause what needs to happen along the border.  The next day, a grandson was born to Rosalva Resendiz.  The Lord brought forth two babies from two nations to secure His power for the next generations. NATIVE AMERICA

The Lord is taking us in a new and wonderful covenant relationship with Native America (especially the Comanche Nation).  Healing, reconciliation and partnership are the markers in our relationship especially after gatherings at Victoria, Comanche Peak and Palo Duro Canyon.

PRAYERS AND PROCLAMATIONS FOR THE SEVEN MOUNTAINS

FRIDAY - Pray for Education

1.     State Board of Education a standard bearer for textbooks throughout the nation.

2.     University Systems - Texas A&M, University of Texas, Texas Tech, University of Houston, Southern Methodist, Texas Christian - a network of higher education that literally encompasses the entire state, region and nation. Some of the best and brightest minds in the entire nation have been and are being trained at the educational institutions in Texas.  Pray that God will sanctify all that is taught and thought by such people and such institutions.  Pray for the restoration of godly foundations and influence.

3.     Pray for the schools in your area and for the teachers who work there.

4.     Pray for any colleges near you.

5.     We pray that the wisdom of God will be exalted over the any educational philosophy that exalts human wisdom.  Pray that there would be a pursuit of the knowledge of God and truth versus intellectualism and humanism.

6.     Pray for the protection and redemption of the hearts and minds of our young people.  Ask God to knit their hearts to His cause and make them such a strong part of the coming revival.

7.     We declare that the state of Texas be a ministry training ground; and that we will give God's wisdom to all of our students. Proverbs 22:6-"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." We thank you Lord that all knowledge comes from you according to 1 Samuel 2:3 that You are the God of knowledge. We proclaim that You take back education and use it to teach Your ways.  

SATURDAY - Pray for Families

1.     Over the last several decades, marriage in our nation has declined, while cohabitation, divorce and unmarried childbearing have increased.  From 1970 to 1996, the marriage rate in the United States fell by a third, from 77 to 50 marriages per 1,000 unmarried women.  

2.     Nationally From 1960 to 1998, the number of unmarried, cohabiting couples increased nearly tenfold, from 439,000 to 4.2 million.  

3.     Nationally divorce rates also increased from 9 to 23 per married couples from 1960 to 1980, before declining slightly and remaining steady at 20 per 1,000 through 1998.

4.     Nationally births to unmarried women increased from 11 to 33 percent of all births from 1970 to 1994, then leveled off through 1999.

5.     We thank you El Elyon, our Most High God, that as Creator, you made man and woman in Your image you ordained life and multiplication as evidence of Your Love and Creativity.  From You, as Father, the joining of the solitary, two beings, into marriage and family, You ordained Life to birth generations.  It is from and through you that every family in heaven and earth is named.  This unique union joining husband and wife, into one flesh, is a reflection Your Divine Nature We honor and celebrate the covenant .

6.     You have established through Jesus, our Heavenly Bridegroom, and the perpetual remembrance of that in the blessing of the marriage covenant.

7.     The State of Texas was a pioneer to declaring throughout constitutional amendments the definition of marriage as being between one man and one woman.  Sodomy is outlawed. We declare and decree that the marriages and families of Texas line up with Your Word.

8.     May Your Holy Spirit teach, train, equip each marriage partner and family member to fulfill the Plans and Purposes You have ordered for their lives.

9.     We declare that the marriages and families in Texas bear up under anything and everything, because their hope is endless, trusting in the victory that is theirs through Jesus Christ.  The reverential holy fear of God is producing wisdom in every aspect of the lives of marriages and families as they hunger and thirst for His Presence and Kingdom, teaching and training their children in the Light and Truth of the Gospel.

10.  Father, we declare that as the families worship and pray together, that Your fresh revelation and power would be revealed to them-that from the eldest to the youngest, they would have a knowledge of your Presence, and a vision of their assignment for Your Kingdom Glory. (Col. 1:9-12).

11.  Father, I pray, that as the family goes through difficulties and hardships, that they will promptly seek Your will together in prayer for each situation.  I pray that they will not be anxious or overwrought, but will instead, pray about everything, with thanksgiving; and Your peace which surpasses all understanding will guard their hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:4-7).

SUNDAY - Pray for Religion

1.     The heart of a religious spirit is located in the "Bible Belt."  Waco and other areas of Texas have been called "The Belt Buckle of the Bible Belt."

2.     The Indian tribes that inhabited the territory of Texas prior to the coming of Europeans in the 16th century engaged in a variety of religious practices. Most embraced, however vaguely, the concept of a supreme being. They were not monotheistic, however, believing instead in a variety of supernatural powers, organized in a hierarchy.  With research regarding the Baal caves (discovered in the far western panhandle of Oklahoma - formerly Texas), there has always been a strong evidence of worship based on this false godhead.  It has been extremely important for Texas that we continue to divorce ourselves from this structure.

3.     Roman Catholic missionaries brought Christianity to Texas. They came to New Spain in the company of Spanish conquistadores, whose primary goal was to claim lands for the Spanish crown. Ysleta mission in El Paso was established after Spanish and allied Indians fled the Santa Fe Uprising of 1680. The first East Texas mission, San Francisco de los Tejas, was established in 1690 on San Pedro Creek near present-day Weches. Spain stipulated Catholicism as the state religion when Texas was opened to Anglo-American immigration in 1820.

4.     The Awakening or Revival movement in American religion was a century old as Texas moved toward independence. Prior to Texas' independence, only isolated individual preachers came from the United States to the Mexican province. With the advent of the Second Great Awakening early in the 19th century, evangelical churches and preachers were in the forefront of the westward movement. Their goal was to see that the gospel was carried with the Anglo-American advance across the continent. Texas was in the path of the movement.

5.     Protestantism made its first inroads into Texas between 1815 and 1817. Soon thereafter a small Methodist church, the first Protestant church in Texas, was organized at Jonesborough in present-day Red River County. After the Mexican troops departed, Protestant groups began holding regular camp meetings.

6.     At the very heart of most of the religious groups that founded Texas was Freemasonry.  It became the foundation and backbone of the state.  It is imperative that this false root be removed from our foundation. History adapted from an article written for the Texas Almanac 1988-89.

7.     Father I pray that Your people, who are called by Your name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek Your face and turn from their wicked ways. Then You will hear from heaven and forgive our sin, and heal our land.   2 Chronicles 7:14

8.     Lord, I ask that You give each member of the corporate bride of Christ a fresh revelation of who You are.  Let their eyes be opened to see You in all Your glory and majesty.  Give them fresh vision of that which is on Your heart for their life, ministry and city.

9.     Lord, bring forth Your true expression of the ekklesia and kingdom in this hour.  We divorce ourselves from the spirits of religion, Baal, Freemasonry and traditional, yet dead, forms f Christianity.

10.  As Your apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers we declare and teach the Word.   Let our lips be filled with Your praise, wisdom and life.  Let a fresh anointing come upon us.

11.  Lord, I pull down in Jesus' name every barrier that destroys unity in the life of the church-fear, competition, tradition, religion, jealousy and pride.  Replace these with love, cooperation, the fresh wind of Your Spirit and humility.

MONDAY - Pray for Government:  State, Local, Regional, and National

1.     Governor Perry is a strong evangelical.  He has a passion for the Lord, His Word and for Israel.  He has stated: "Texas will not be blessed if we do not bless Israel."

2.     Like other states of the nation,  Free Masonry is the foundational structure throughout the entirety of the state.  All of our Anglo pioneers were Masonic (Stephen F. Austin, Sam Houston, etc.).  It permeates all of our governmental and religious structures.

3.     Pray for the restoration of righteous judgment in our courts and for the appointment of judges who will act wisely and in accordance with godly principles.  Pray against the Masonic perversion of justice, which has been so prevalent.

4.     Holy God and Father, righteousness and justice is the foundation of Your throne (Psalm 89:14).  We desire Holy Spirit encounters between the Lord and every government leader in the state, but especially a concentrated move of the Spirit in Austin.  We therefore decree a release of those encounters to bring an intense burning in every heart for the power of God in individual lives.  We declare breakthrough and a break out in the capitol that will bring the establishment of the Kingdom of righteousness and justice to Texas.

5.     We declare [the] king [governor] will reign in righteousness and princes [legislators] will rule with justice in the Texas government. Therefore the work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever - from the piney woods to the western plains, from the panhandle and the Red River in the north to the southern coastlands.  We release the river of peace throughout the land, flowing through the county and city governments. Then, the people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings and in quiet resting places.

6.     Father, I pray that You remove wicked counselors from these leaders in authority. Give the leaders supernatural wisdom to discern any evil schemes of the enemies of our country, from within and without. Surround the leaders with Godly counselors of a pure heart. (Proverbs 24: 6)

TUESDAY - Pray for Businesses

Houston, Austin, Fort Worth, San Antonio and Dallas rank 1-5 as the healthiest housing markets in the United States.
The Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council has ranked Texas as one of the best states for small business and entrepreneurs in their Business Tax Index of 2010.

Texas is America's Top State for Business according to the results of a CNBC study that scored each state on 40 different measures of competitiveness. This ranking adds to the growing list of accomplishments and accolades for Texas' business climate. The Lone Star State is now home to more Fortune 500 companies than any other state in the nation, and was recently named the "Best State to Do Business" by CEO Magazine for the third year in a row.

In the past five years, Texas has created 1.2 million net new jobs. In the last year alone, more than half of all jobs created in the United States were in Texas. Although the nation's economy has experienced a recent slowdown, the Texas economy continues to rev up. With the 12th largest economy in the world (if it were considered a nation), Texas now leads the U.S. in job creation, gross state product, low unemployment rate, and foreign direct investment. Part of the Lone Star State's success stems from proactive government policies and incentives, low taxes, reasonable regulations, solid infrastructure, and good quality of life.

As it is written, we decree and declare in the courts of heaven that as Jehoshaphat became exceedingly great, built fortresses in Judah, and store cities, had much business in the cities of Judah and the men of war; mighty men of valor were in Jerusalem; so shall we the Body of the Living Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth establish and perfect His Kingdom rule with justice on the business mountain in the State of Texas.  In Jesus Name Amen. 

Father, may we be good stewards of the natural resources of our land, our monetary system, and the spiritual and natural gifts of our citizens. May we honor each life as sacred to You.   Genesis 1-2 

Pray for reliance on God for our provision instead of reliance on ourselves. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5).
We stand in the gap for people involved in technology, manufacturing or construction businesses. Father, bless those in the medical and healthcare fields. Bless those in sales and service businesses. May You be glorified!
 
WEDNESDAY - Pray for the Media

1.     As the Prophet state, Texas will need to sharpen its skills in communicating across the state and throughout the nation.

2.     There is a strong independent spirit in the state, which has been a formidable enemy for the prayer network.  Everyone thinks first of themselves.  But we have been praying and witnessing the breakdown of this spirit.

3.     Ask God to break the leviathan spirit that twists, undermines and perverts clear communication especially the communication of divine truth.

4.     Pray that there would be responsibility with influence in the media. Set a guard; O Lord, over my mouth, keep watch over the door of my lips. (Psalm 141:3).

5.     Proclaim that they would be accurate and fair in their presentation. May the word of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight... (Psalm 19:14).

6.     Declare that a high priority be placed on the value of truth and decency. Talk no more so very proudly, for the Lord is the God of knowledge, and by Him actions will be weighed. (1 Samuel 2:3) 

THURSDAY - Pray for Arts and Entertainment

Ask God to bring godly leaders to the forefront and give them favor as they climb the Arts and Entertainment Mountain.

We declare the Arts and Entertainment of Texas to be as a shining light for the people of our great state of Texas.

We thank you Lord for the God ordained purpose of arts and entertainment. We take possession of these creative avenues and return them to You for Your glorification.  We glorify You and proclaim that these were created for You alone, in the name of Jesus Christ the son of God and His authority. Amen

Call forth the creativity to express and to celebrate who God is through the arts! All of creation worships and gives him glory and so must we. 

Pray for transformation, that righteousness and integrity would be brought back into the arts. That once again we would see family values set in place and honored.

Pray that honor and blessing would come to those believers who are in the midst of this area. Psalm 5:12 For You O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield.  Call forth a spirit of excellence in every area. Then God looked over all he had made, and saw that it was excellent in every way. (Genesis 1:31)
